Expect the repas de quartier in collaboration with Cassonade (to reserve your meal email ludovica@charleroi-danse.be – unless you are joining as part of Cinemaximiliaan, then we have you covered), followed by improvised music and an open jam session from a trio who met during a jam session at the Broechem asylum centre – King Yasuke (vocals), Patrick Clauwaert (drums) and Simon Ho (keys) and then for season’s opening of CINEMA TROTTOIR we’ll be showing Chez Jolie Coiffure (2018, 70’) from director, Rosine Mbakam.

FILM SYNOPSIS:

Documentary film – Belgian-Cameroonian director Rosine Mbakam enters with her camera in Sabine’s hairdresser’s in Brussels. Sabine’s stories and the customers’ joys, worries, problems and fears bring depth and life into the premises.

DIRECTOR BIO:

Rosine Mbakam is a Cameroonian film director based in Belgium. She has directed many short films and full-length documentaries. Les deux visages d’une femme Bamiléké/The Two Faces of a Bamiléké Woman and Chez Jolie Coiffure won a number of international prizes.
