We invite you to the first of two INSTRUMENT BUILDING and MUSIC WORKSHOPS run by EAR TO THE EARTH ENSEMBLE on SATURDAY 2ND MARCH, 11AM – 5PM. We are happy to welcome two members of the group, classical violinist, Ruth Mareen @ruth_mareen, and percussionist and artist, Porter Ellerman @porter.ellerman Ellerman for this project.
During the first workshop we will be inspired by @eartothearth.ensemble to repurpose recycled materials. As usual we’ll cook and eat together before getting to know their project and collecting recycled materials in the local area. Back at the project house we can begin creating our instruments!
In the second workshop, a few weeks later, we will complete the instruments and compose and record some music in groups!
Ear to the Earth Ensemble is a contemporary music group consisting of present and former students of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. With a shared passion for new music and innovative performance practices, the ensemble collaborates with composers and other musicians to connect uniquely with audiences.
