For this year’s connection to Ostend, or Seanemaximiliaan as it has become known, Gawan and Gwendolyn are inviting us to the sea to meet with friends and take part in Gwendolyn’s performance/exhibition/situations on the beach, you give it a blow and it’s gone. Cinemaximiliaan’s Mervat & Lubnan will be part of the team guiding us through the interactive situations.
You give it a blow and it’s gone by Gwendolyn Lootens is a search for shared time and a gesture of resilience. Everyone is invited to interact with simple materials such as rope, paper, colours and shapes against the background of the waterline, the wind, the light, the sea.
The project is part of this year’s Theater aan Zee festival and the situations will be performed daily at 5pm from 3rd August until 9th August. The meeting point is Kunstencentrum Kaap. For more information: https://theateraanzee.be/programma/you-give-it-a-blow-and-it-is-gone
