SYNOPSIS:

In this Cinemaximiliaan production, six international directors – under scenario guidance from Jaco Van Dormael and Sulaiman Addonia – created their own interpretations on the theme of Solitude. All the films are connected by the silent film format of the old days: always in 4:3, black & white, and without dialogue. These silent films formed the foundation for the Brussels based musical duos Simon Ho (Switzerland) and Hannibal Saad (Lebanon, US) to compose a unique musical interpretation with an orchestra of 13 musicians. Eastern and Western instruments, sounds and voices meet, taking the audience along on a magical journey.

SILENT FILM LIVE MUSIC will be shown as part of MOLENFEST for Brussels 2030.
